Career & Technical Student Organizations

  • Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) allow students the opportunity to engage in extra-curricular activities that enhance classroom learning and reinforce skills mastery.  This is usually accomplished through local chapter projects, community service projects, local, state, and national competitions and state and national conferences.

    The Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) is proud to have several student organizations here on campus. Please see below for a description of each organization and if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the advisor listed for each group. 

    Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA):

    DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. All CCIC students in the Business Services and Hospitality Management pathways are eligible to join and are encouraged to fill out an application.     Hospitality & Tourism Innovators (H&T Innovators):

    This local CTSO empowers the Hospitality & Tourism ProStart students to excel in leadership, collaboration, and innovation. This organization provides students with year-round opportunities to engage in meaningful activities such as Social Events, Professional Development Workshops, Community Service Initiatives, and connections with our Industry Professionals. Members can also compete in events throughout the year that showcase their culinary skills! All CCIC ProStart students in the Hospitality & Tourism pathway are members when enrolled in a ProStart program.     HOSA - Future Health Professionals:

    HOSA - Future Health Professionals is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of the Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE).  HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

    SkillsUSA:

    SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel and provides educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms.
