CCSD Board Candidate Application Process

  • There will be an application process to fill the vacancy for CCSD Director District C. Information about the process, including a list of applicant questions, can be found on this page.

    Anyone interested in seeking the position should first confirm that they live within the boundaries of Director District C.

    While the Board of Education is launching an application process to consider candidates to fill the vacancy, there are a few important points to consider:

    1. The position does not have to be filled.
      • If after 60 days the board does not make a decision, the board president has the authority to fill the vacancy at any time up to the election.
    2. If an appointment is made, it will last through the November 2019 election, at which time the winner of the Director C election will assume a new four-year term.
    3. Any applicant wishing to seek a four-year term must engage in the election process. Details of the election process will be released over the summer.

    Applicant Process

    • Interested applicants should confirm that they live in Director District C
    • To help the CCSD Board get to know the candidates applying to fill the vacancy for CCSD Director District C, candidates are being asked to answer the following questions in writing.
    • Typed responses (can be typed on a separate document) from interested candidates to these questions must be submitted to the CCSD Office of Legal Resources, along with a Resume and the executed Affidavit of Qualifications for Office.  These submissions must be made either via hand delivery of a paper copy to 4700 S. Yosemite St., Suite 255, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 or electronically via email to smckenzie3@cherrycreekschools.org by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 28, 2019
    • Along with the typed responses, applicants must also submit a resume and a signed copy of this affidavit.
    • Please anticipate that interviews of qualified candidates will be conducted on June 3, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Interested candidates must be available for interviews on that date.
