School Safety

STUDENT DROP-OFF / PICK-UP EXPECTATIONS

Parents/Guardians are not allowed to enter the parking lot when it is coned off for buses.  
(7:40-8:00 a.m.)(2:30-3:00 p.m.)
Parents/Guardians are not allowed to park in any designated fire lane (red paint).
Parents/Guardians are expected to use the drop-off/pick-up ONLY.  Please do not park and leave your vehicle in this area (yellow paint).
U-turns are illegal
It is the expectation that parents follow ALL traffic rules when dropping off and picking up their children.  Our crosswalk personnel are there to keep kids safe but they cannot do it all without the help of parents.  Please be considerate when parking, stopping, and dropping off children.  Our first concern is the safety of our students, however, parking in someone's driveway, blocking their driveway, making illegal U-turns, double parking, parking in the fire lane (red zone on school property) all lead to frustration, which then leads to unsafe situations.  Please use the crosswalks.  Children learn from their parents, remember what kind of example you are setting for your child. Please BE COURTEOUS AND FOLLOW AURORA TRAFFIC LAWS!

Parents, it is urgent that you keep all of your phone contacts updated on My CherryCreek Schools login. This is our ONLY way to contact you or others listed on your contact list in case of an emergency. We have some parents who have changed phone numbers since registration at the beginning of the school year, and we have no updated information. Let’s keep our kids safe and let’s stay in contact.
