Dear Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members,

As we embark on another exciting school year, I am thrilled to welcome you all back to our wonderful school community or welcome you for the very first time. Our commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and responsible environment remains unwavering.

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We have implemented comprehensive safety measures and protocols to ensure that everyone in our school feels secure and protected. This includes regular safety drills, a focus on digital citizenship, and maintaining a supportive environment where everyone can learn and grow without fear.

Respect is the cornerstone of our community. We believe in treating each other with kindness, understanding, and appreciation for our diverse backgrounds and perspectives. By fostering a culture of mutual respect, we create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

We encourage our students to take responsibility for their actions and their learning. This means being accountable for their behavior, making thoughtful decisions, and contributing positively to our school community. Our goal is to nurture responsible individuals who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to society.

In Cherry Creek Schools, we share  five essential core values that will guide us through the year ahead.

Growth Mindset

Embracing a growth mindset is essential for lifelong learning. We encourage our students to view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. By promoting perseverance and resilience, we help them develop the confidence to tackle obstacles and the determination to achieve their goals.

Equity

Equity is fundamental to our mission. We strive to ensure that every student has access to the resources and support they need to succeed. This means recognizing and addressing barriers to learning and celebrating the unique strengths and abilities of each student.

Whole Wellbeing

The wellbeing of our students extends beyond academics. We are committed to supporting their emotional, social, and physical health. Through a comprehensive approach that includes mental health resources, physical activity, and social-emotional learning, we aim to nurture the whole child.

Engagement

Engagement in learning is critical to student success. We provide a dynamic and interactive learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation. By involving students in their own learning process, we inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Relationships

Building strong, positive relationships is at the heart of our school community. We value the connections between students, teachers, parents, and the broader community. By working together and supporting one another, we create a network of care that enhances the educational experience for everyone.

As we move forward, I am confident that by embracing these values, we will create a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I look forward to a year filled with growth, achievement, and joy for our entire school community.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
