Mrs. Bowens

Dear Timberline Community,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to  Timberline Elementary School.  This year, Timberline is Under Construction!  We are building achievers one brick at a time.  Our goal is to make sure that all students have a solid foundation in academic,social-emotional, and physical needs.

Our mission at Timberline is to embrace, engage, and empower all students to learn, grow, and achieve. At Timberline we are committed to making sure all students' needs are met daily.  We support the whole child.  Our classroom teachers work every day to ensure your child is accessing standard-based lessons.  Your child(ren) will experience one of our AMPS daily (Art, Music, PE, or STEAM) Our special services consist of SPED, Gifted and Talented, English Language services, Reading and Math Intervention, and Mental Health Services.

Partnering with you to help your child succeed is a critical element to their success. Monthly newsletters, weekly classroom newsletters, and conferences will foster these partnerships. There are many ways to be involved in your child’s experience.  Joining PTCO, Accountability, PASS, or our Watch D.O.G organizations allows you the opportunity to get to know Timberline.

This is my 26th year as an educator. I am a Colorado native and love that my own children have the opportunity to enjoy the same beautiful mountains and blue sky that I grew up with. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Stephen, is a 5th-grade teacher at Mountain Vista Elementary.  Our children, Matthew, is a sophomore at Grand Canyon University, and Sydney, who is a senior at Cherokee Trail High School.  Princeton, our corgi, provides us with lots of love and entertainment. We love to travel (especially cruising), playing family games, singing,  and spending time with extended family.

Please know that my door is always open and I am excited about meeting you.  I'm proud to call myself a Timberline Timberwolf and look forward to us working together in the new school year!

Warmly,

Mary R. Bowens
