First Grade

  • Team: Margaret Garcia-Balbona, Faith Biekarck, and Sam Makovsky

“Children are one third of our population and all of our future.”

    Philosophy

We believe that First Grade is a time for each child to grow and develop at their own rate.  A time for teachers to recognize the diverse potential within each child and maximize their academic success.

Throughout the year, your First Grader will learn to:

    • solve problems through self reflection
    • become life long learners
    • be part of a caring community
    • work to their highest potential in a supportive environment
