Intramurals for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys and girls will be held after school and are offered to supplement the Physical Education program. Participation is optional and FREE. Intramurals rules and expectations are the same as in P.E. class. Students must wear appropriate athletic style shoes to participate. Students must turn in a permission slip (bottom portion only) signed by their parent/guardian.
Students should enter the gym through the doors by the cafeteria. Before and After School students must check in with Mr. Scott or the B/A Staff before heading down to the gym. All students must sign in before participating in any Intramurals activity. Parents and siblings are always welcome to stay and watch.
Intramurals will begin on Sept. 25, 2023 and willend the week of April 1, 2024.
3rd grade studentswill meet on Monday afternoons, every other week, from 2:45-3:30 pm in the gym. Activities include large group games, jump rope, and relay races. Schedules will be sent home so parents can keep track of Intramurals days.
4th and 5th grade students will meet on Friday afternoons, every other week, from2:45-3:30 pm. Activities include indoor soccer, floor hockey, and volleyball games. Students will practice the skills needed for each activity during P.E. class. I will assist the students in making up teams. Schedules will be sent home so that you and your child know which of the scheduled days your child will be participating. The same format will be followed when we change activities. Games are approximately 20 minutes long.
Students will be dismissed from the gym at approximately 3:30 pm. Students who are walking home or getting a ride home, will exit out the back door by the back parking lot. Only students whose parents are in the gym, can exit out the front of the school. For safety and security reasons, students must remain in the gym until they are dismissed at 3:30 pm.
Focus: To provide students with a musically and socially enhancing experience. Musically, students will learn proper singing techniques and age appropriate repertoire, while also developing an advanced musical ear. Socially, students will have opportunities to build stronger friendships with peers and also experience community outreach.
Focus: Students will have access to developmentally appropriate building materials and be allowed to explore and create structures using those materials. There is NO fee for this club.
