    Philosophy and Goals:

The music program at Greenwood Elementary involves singing songs, creating movement, exploring listening lessons, experimenting with rhythms, celebrating cultural diversity, and integrating Kodaly, Orff, and traditional approaches. Activities are also explored in the related arts of art, drama, theater, dance and literature to develop students' awareness of the varied aspects of a culture's artistic expression. In addition to this comprehensive approach to music, all grade levels perform music programs throughout the school year.
