Our District

The Cherry Creek School District is dedicated to our vision of a Pathway of Purpose and guided by our central mission “to inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, to care.” Serving more than 53,000 students and more than 300,000 residents in eight municipalities across 108 square miles, Cherry Creek Schools is a diverse district where inclusive excellence and college and career preparedness are priorities.
Grounded in our five Core Values – Growth Mindset, Equity, Whole Wellbeing, Engagement, and Relationships – Cherry Creek Schools is dedicated to excellence for every student, every day today and into the future. We believe every student can succeed and achieve a bright future. The educational journey of our students starts with our dedicated, high-quality professional educators and staff members. More than 79 percent of our faculty members have advanced degrees and our teachers have an average of 10 years of experience. CCSD students consistently score well above state and national averages on standardized assessments and SAT and ACT exams, including our highest-ever graduation rate of 91.6%.
Together with our community, we are committed to making progress on our three strategic initiatives of literacy, whole wellbeing, and disproportionality to ensure access to educational resources and opportunities for every student to be prepared and ready to thrive in their next chapter. Our dedication to excellence has been a guiding principle for the last 75 years and will continue to guide our work for decades to come.
