Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center

Cherry Creek Schools operates an educational program at the Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center.  This program is designed to meet the educational and affective needs of youth who are detained. These students range between 10-18 years old. Cherry Creek School District provides licensed teaching staff for detained youth in the youth center. While at the Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center, detained youth can earn credits necessary to receive a high school diploma or obtain a GED. The Education Program is in operation 195 days per year. 

 
The school population averages between 30 - 39 students. Teachers differentiate the instruction of the curriculum to accommodate students, i.e., fundamentals in reading, writing, math, social studies, science, affective education, special education and computer training. These classes are the curricular components of the school. Services provided include individualized education, restorative community justice and life skills education.
