AVID
AVID Program Overview
What is AVID?
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an elective class during the school day designed for students with a strong desire to continue their education after high school but who may want additional time and support to think about their future and find success. While AVID’s primary mission is to equip students for college success, the skills developed in AVID also prepare students for a variety of postsecondary paths, ensuring they have the ability to thrive in any direction they choose.
The AVID program is offered in all comprehensive middle and high schools across the district. To apply, visit bit.ly/CCSDAVID to go straight to the application, or log in to your student MyDot and search AVID in your dashboard. Watch the short video below to learn more about the program.
