TREP - Free college tuition, books and fees
TREP UPDATE 3/26/2026 -
This past week, we were informed that the Colorado Joint Budget Committee (JBC) voted to phase out the TREP program due to concerns around inequitable access and significant shortfalls in the Colorado state budget. Information can be found on the Colorado General Assembly - Joint Budget Committee website.
What this means for you - should this recommendation move forward, only current TREP students in their 5th year will be allowed to continue, no new TREP candidates will be accepted.
At this time, no Bill has been presented to the Senate phasing out this program but given the budgetary concerns at the state level we fully anticipate this program not continuing. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to voice your support for the funding and continuation of the TREP program, we encourage you to contact your state representatives. This website can help you find your legislator. Their input and advocacy are crucial in helping ensure the future of this important program.
In case something should change we will process student applications and continue to update you as more information is disclosed.
