CTE Internship Program

CTE Internship Summer Program by Application

Please note:  Only students who have completed the application/interview process and then been accepted into the program may register.

Eligibility: 

Rising Juniors, Seniors, or at the discretion of the sponsoring company. The CTE (Career and Technical Education) Internship program is for select students to participate in a work-based learning experience in a career field they intend to pursue.  Students will be expected to complete various assignments, attend meetings, and complete projects for the company where they are interning. Student interns must complete a minimum of 100 hours at their internship site during the summer months of June and July. In addition, students will complete coursework through a CTE Internship course about their internship. Internships can be paid or unpaid, depending on the sponsoring company.

This program is selective. To apply, the student must have taken a CTE course in the pathway they are pursuing for the internship. Students must apply, interview, and be selected for an available CTE Internship by applying through the Cherry Creek School District Job Board, which will be available in February. The student will then be enrolled in the Internship course. Students must provide their own transportation.

Registration Process 

  • Apply for an internship on the Cherry Creek School District Job Board, OPENING IN FEBRUARY.  

  • Students will only see the internships they are eligible for.

  • FINDING and ACCESSING the WBL Job Board. 

  • To locate the job board, start by logging into your my.cherrycreekschools.org account. From your dashboard, look for the "WBL job board" tile using the search function.

  • Alternative Access: If you can't locate the tile, you can access the job board directly at: https://cherrycreekschools.my.site.com/student/s/wbl-job-board

  • Note: You must be logged into your my.cherrycreekschools.org account for the direct link to work properly.

  • Qualified potential interns will then complete an interview with the sponsoring company.  

  • Students will be notified of acceptance by the end of April.
