Choir
In choir, students have the opportunity to make music in a large ensemble while singing repertoire from a variety of cultures, historical periods, and musical styles. In many elementary schools, choir is offered as an extra-curricular activity either before or after school. Beginning in middle school, students can participate in choir as an elective class during the regular school day. As students move into high school, choral offerings expand to include bass and treble choirs, jazz choirs, and madrigal groups to name just a few.
