Orchestra

In orchestra, students make music on stringed instruments. These instruments can be played by plucking the string with a finger or by using a bow. Instrumental choices in the orchestra include:

Orchestra
  • Violin
  • Viola
  • Cello
  • Double Bass

At the middle school, orchestra classes focus on the basics of playing the instruments and working as an ensemble. At the high school level, students in orchestra have opportunities to participate in more specialized ensembles, including string quartet/quintets, chamber orchestra, and symphonic orchestra.
