The Back to School Hub brings together the essential information families need for a smooth start to the year.

Below are instructions for completing Parent Forms along with details about the first day of school, transportation, meals, and other districtwide services. School‑specific information, including school supply lists and Back‑to‑School events, is available on each school’s website.

This is for new and returning families already enrolled in the district. To enroll in Cherry Creek Schools, please visit the Admissions Department.

All families must complete Parent Forms before the start of each year to update student information and prepare for the school year.

How to Complete Parent Forms

Good to know before you begin

✅ Complete forms for each student
✅ A parent or guardian in Household 1 must complete Parent Forms
📅 Enter birthdays in MM/DD/YYYY format (for example: 08/22/2012)
💾 Your work saves automatically - you can return anytime
✅ Use the same email account throughout the process
⚠️ You cannot access Parent Forms after they have been submitted

Complete Parent Forms in 4 Steps

Log In
Go to my.cherrycreekschools.org and log in using your email and password.
o If needed, use the “Forgot Password?” option to reset your login
Open Parent Forms
From your dashboard:
o Click the PowerSchool/Parent Forms tile
o You will be taken into PowerSchool
o Select your student
o Click Parent Forms in the left menu (bottom)
Tip: Click the globe in the top right corner to translate to your preferred language
Complete the Forms
o Read the introduction, then click Next
o Fill out all required fields
o Some information may already be filled in and cannot be changed
o Your progress saves automatically - you can return anytime (login with the same email you started with)
Review and Submit

o Go to the Summary page
o 🟢 A green checkmark means a section is complete
o 🔴 A red bubble means something needs attention
o Fix any errors, then click Submit

After You Submit

Repeat the process for each student
Your forms are complete - no further action is needed
Forms cannot be edited after submission
To make updates later, find instructions for updating contact information or changing your address

Preschool & PreKindergarten

Elementary School

Bell Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.

* Full day childcare is not available on these dates. Before & after school care is available only for students attending their first day of school.

Use My Ride K-12 to:

Check eligibility to ride the bus
See bus route and schedule information for your student(s)
Available at the beginning of August for the new school year
Track your child’s bus location, plus when and where s/he boards and exits the bus

Do I sign my student(s) up to ride the Bus?

No sign up is needed to ride the bus.
Students who are qualified to ride the bus should board the bus at their nearest bus stop (found on My Ride K-12).

Qualification to ride the bus depends on your distance from your child’s school:

Elementary School: 1 mile radius or more
Middle School: 1-1/2 mile radius or more
High School: 2 mile radius or more

Please use My Ride K-12 to see if your General Education student qualifies for transportation.

Bus Cards

If your student rode the bus last year:

Elementary: Incoming 1st - 5th graders with bus cards from last year will pick up their bus card from their school on the first day(s) of school.

Middle and High School: Students will use the same bus card for the new school year.

If your student is new to riding the bus:
Students will request a new card from their bus driver.

If your student lost their card and needs a replacment:
Students should request a replacement card from their bus driver.

First day(s) of school:
The bus driver will take attendance as students board and exit the bus for students who do not yet have a bus card.

Colorado immunization law requires schools to have an updated record of each student's vaccination status against preventable infectious disease. If you have any questions about these requirements, you can contact your student’s primary care provider or learn more at the state of Colorado's website.

Where to get immunizations

Your student’s primary care provider can help you schedule vaccines for the school year.

If your student does not have a current primary care provider, they can get their vaccinations at one of our STRIDE School-Based Community Health Centers or during one of the upcoming immunization clinics hosted at our schools.

Have you moved ?

Please update your new address information in the district’s system as soon as possible. Keeping this information current helps us ensure that your student is connected to the correct school, receives accurate transportation information, and is ready for a smooth start to the school year.

Update your address by logging into the my.CherryCreekSchools.org Parent Portal, selecting the Guardian Updates tile, and clicking Change next to your address.

This information will be reviewed and can be updated when completing Parent Forms.

If you do not live in the Cherry Creek School District or want a different school than your neighborhood school, the School Choice process has closed for the 2026-27 school year. Preschool & PreKindergarten

Preschool (3 years old as of Oct. 1, 2026)
A tuition-based preschool program for 3-year-olds. Half-day Preschool classes are Monday-Thursday.

Communication to parents/guardians

To keep you informed and your student safe, your school and the District send important communications - including emergency alerts, weather notifications, and messages specific to your student - by text, email, and phone. These messages are delivered using the parent/guardian contact information stored in PowerSchool.

Make sure you never miss a critical message by:

Confirming accurate contact information in Parent Forms at the start of each school year
Reporting any changes to your contact information throughout the year using the Guardian Update tile in the Parent Portal (my.cherrycreekschools.org)

Standard Response Protocol (SRP)

SRP is the backbone of our school-based emergency responses and provides a common operating language and procedures for how we respond to and communicate about school-based emergency incidents. The five SRP categories are:

Hold - Clear hallways and remain securely in a classroom or area until the situation is resolved
Secure - Staff move all students inside and ensure the building is locked; learning continues inside the school
Lockdown - All students and staff are trained to get behind a locked door - Locks, Lights, Out of Sight
Evacuate - Students and staff are moved to a new or safe location
Shelter - Students and staff are instructed to move to safe shelter location

If you've forgotten your Parent Portal password, enter your email address, click "Go," then select the "Forgot password?" link to reset it.

Student devices over Summer break

Unless their individual school directs them otherwise, high school and middle school students should keep the device over the summer to use for educational purposes. Elementary students leave their devices in their school over the summer.

If your child is changing to a different CCSD school, they should return their device to the school they are leaving and their new school will issue another one.

Damaged or lost student devices

Students are responsible for keeping their assigned devices in good working condition. Each device is expected to last for four years. If a device is damaged or stops working, it must be returned to the student’s school to begin the repair process. All repairs or replacements must be handled by the district.

Parents and students are financially responsible for any intentional damage to, or loss of, the device—whether it occurs on or off school property.
