CCSD Athletics: Highlights from June 2025

5A Baseball: All-State teams named; Creek’s Larkin and Smith honored

The 5A Baseball All-State Team selections were released by CHSAANow.com and MaxPreps on June 9. Cherry Creek High School senior and Oklahoma signee Connor Larkin was named Player of the Year for 2025, and first-year Head Coach Joe Smith earned Coach of the Year Honors. Smith’s Bruins won the state title for the second year in a row on May 31.

The All-State  teams were voted on by head coaches across Colorado, along with separate Player and Coach of the Year ballots in each class.

 5A Baseball: Bruins’ Connor Larkin named Gatorade Player of the Year

Cherry Creek senior and Oklahoma commit Connor Larkin was named the Gatorade Colorado Baseball Player of the Year on June 3. Larkin led the Bruins to their second consecutive state championship on May 31. The Bruins went 23-5-1 during the 2025 season.
