Cherry Creek Schools Opens New Warehouse Elevating Printing and Food Services

Ribbon cutting at the Revere Parkway Warehouse

On August 28, 2026, Cherry Creek School District officially opened its new 123,000-square-foot Revere Parkway Warehouse with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a major upgrade to scratch cooking, print services, and operational efficiency districtwide.

"This facility represents a major investment in our students, our staff, and the long-term future of Cherry Creek Schools," said Interim Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Perry. "By bringing our print services, logistics, and scratch-cooking under one roof, we are powering our commitment to excellence with real operational scale. It ensures that our schools have the highest quality resources, fresh food, and essential tools every single day to help every child thrive."

The facility helps the district serve 66 schools meet surging demand following a record-breaking year serving nearly 6 million meals. The new building also replaces a 1997 food and nutrition warehouse facility with less than a quarter of its size. The scale is so vast that the new sub-zero freezer alone can store over 13.2 million hamburgers.

"Our success comes down to our absolute Dream Team," said Food and Nutrition Director Kim Kilgore. "We have more applications than open positions and incredible staff longevity because of our team's real passion for making sure students truly enjoy what they eat. Even with enrollment down, we served more than 81,000 meals from the previous school year, and our dedicated bakery team conducted 33 school taste tests to ensure kids love every single bite."

The state-of-the-art hub, designed by DLH Architecture with JHL serving as general contractor, significantly elevates district operations across multiple departments. The scratch-cooked, allergy-safe central bakery utilizes locally grown flour and pressed sunflower oil to produce 100% egg- and dairy-free baked goods, including dedicated allergy-safe cinnamon rolls. The facility unites Strategic Sourcing, Inventory Warehouse, Print Shop, and Procurement under one roof. The expanded Print Shop has more than doubled its footprint to produce the district's math curriculum in-house, and the facility has already processed over 100 full truckloads of food to supply daily meal production across district, charter, and special program sites.
