Grandview ProStart Students Win at Conference
Grandview High School ProStart students competed at the 20th Annual ProStart Invitational. Grandview High School Mentors include Chili’s Restaurant Managers Tim Lynott & Joe Morely and Sheraton Hotel Downtown Denver Executive Chef Scott Skomal. With the second highest total scores combining the Management and Culinary teams, Grandview High School took 2nd Place Overall.
Cherokee Trail Wins at State FBLA
"Cherokee Trail FBLA gets ready for the national competition in San Antonio, Texas!" Thirty-five CT teams walked on stage as one of the top ten competitors in their event at the Colorado State Conference in April. Eleven teams placed in the top four, punching their ticket to the national conference. Sarayu Gangavelli is the CTHS Chapter president and the state FBLA President. Sarayu will represent Cherokee Trail and all of Colorado’s FBLA clubs as she heads to nationals. With the success at this year's State FBLA Conference, Cherokee Trail looks to continue their dominating presence at the national level."
Overland Art Students Compete in Denver Paper Fashion Show
On Friday April 12th, the Overland Fashion Club participated in the 15th annual Denver Paper Fashion show. The design was titled “In the Clouds” and was inspired by the show theme of” Flight: Without Wings” All participating students were inspired by clouds and storms and just thinking toward the future.
Overland FCCLA Competes at the State Conference
FCCLA members represented Overland High School with pure blazer pride at the state conference. In competition, the club as eight national qualifiers. The culinary team took first place in the state and one team will attend nationals. In addition, Daniel Flores-Garcia is the 2019-2020 Colorado FCCLA State VP of Peer Education. This is a first in Overland History. Daniel has been studying and preparing for this interview since September.
Cherry Creek DECA had 66 students attend DECA ICDC in Orlando earlier this week. Students placed in the following competitions: Business Services Operations Research, 1st place - Elizabeth Jansen; Public Relations Project, 3rd place - Ellie O’Brien, Jesse Aseoff, Zachary Lazar; Finance Operations Research, Jack Starr, Zac Bachman, Daniel Sarfaraz; and Quick Serve Restaurant -Top 16 - Lucy Maloney.
