Our School

Cherokee Trail High School is a public high school located in the suburban area of Southeast Aurora, Colorado.  CTHS is a part of the Cherry Creek School District and is accredited by the Colorado State Department of Education.  The staff, faculty, counselors, deans, and administrators promote a college and career-oriented atmosphere with an emphasis on the school's mission statement: "Our actions will ignite the genius and nurture the goodness within us all." Cherokee Trail is proud to be on the US News list of Best High Schools for 2020.

Where is Cherokee Trail High School?

The school is 1.5 miles east of the intersection of E-470 and Smoky Hill Road. If you're traveling east on Smoky Hill Rd., the first traffic light after the FAA radar "golf ball" is Arapahoe Road. Visitors and staff should park in the upper parking lot, which is the first left turn. If they are coming to the stadium, visitors should park in the lower lot near the stadium. Students should park in the lower parking lot.

Visitor Parking
All visitors to the school, even those picking up and dropping off students, must enter the upper (west) parking lot. No student drop off or pick up is allowed in the lower east lot from 06:45 A.M to 3:15 P.M. Follow the road around the lot after picking up or dropping off your students.
