Our Mission

  • What We Teach and Why We Teach It

    Our Mission

To this end, we will challenge ALL students with rigorous coursework and teach essential skills needed for college and career readiness and success.

    Our Vision

At Falcon Creek Middle School, we will educate and engage ALL students in a safe and supportive learning environment.

    Our Values

Kids First       Integrity       Accountability     Collaboration          Inclusivity

    Our Goals

All kids are happy and positive    All kids take risks with their learning   All kids are engaged

In addition to instilling these values and to meet our mission, we must also equip our students with the habits of mind that are critical for being ready to meet the challenges of college and career.  The middle years present the largest span of growth for intellectual, physical, psychological, social, moral, and ethical development.  Mindful of this, the educational research has never been clearer or more evident.  Being on target for college and the workforce by the eighth grade clearly aims students toward a positive future.  If students are not on target at this point, the impact may be irreversible.  Good work and study habits, consistently completing homework, orderly conduct, following school rules and guidelines, and forming positive relationships with faculty, staff, and peers are behaviors that will have a direct impact on either academic difficulty or academic success.

Educators at Falcon Creek Middle School teach core academics through rigorous course work.  Students receive a broad and thorough knowledge of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.  Students may also explore the performing arts, visual arts, media/information literacy, robotics, engineering and design, forensic science, computer explorations, Spanish, health and physical education.  Within this framework, our Electives Program provides a strong focus on both the exploration and essential acquisition of skills needed for high school, college, and career readiness.

Throughout the school year, parents have immediate access to critical information regarding their students’ progress.  Our on-line communication tools have been developed for you to monitor your child’s progress towards meeting the Colorado Academic Standards, being on-track for high school graduation, and on track for successful entry into college and career.  This can be evidenced through grades on class assignments, grades on assessments, quarterly final grades, the grade point average, and attendance.  These on-line tools, Schoology and PowerSchool, are easily accessed through my.cherrycreekschools.org.  If you need assistance with these tools, please call Falcon Creek and speak with the Technology Coordinator.
