Our Community Agreement

 Members of our community must protect Prairie. There is power at Prairie. We must uphold pride in Prairie. Every Hawk has a purpose at Prairie. 

At Prairie, we work with our students with expectations to create the best learning community we can be.  We proactively work with students on what it means to live out these components each day at Prairie. Students will attend advisory class and learn about these components of our school.

As a Prairie Hawk...

• I will respect other members of our community. I will demonstrate empathy, use kind words, and recognize the humanity in others. I will give respect, and in turn, receive respect.
• I understand that I must have healthy and positive relationships with other members of our community. I will work to build and maintain relationships with other community members.
• I am responsible to our community and to myself. I will work every day to abide by our community agreement so that we can ensure our school is the best it can be. I will work to hold myself accountable in my actions, so I can be a positive influence and leader at Prairie Middle School. 
• If I cause harm to others, I will work to repair the relationship and the harm done. I understand that it is natural for human beings to make mistakes; I know repairing the relationship and being a better person moving forward is what matters.
• I understand that we are connected as a community. If there is harm done to our community, I will either work to reintegrate into our community and/or I will welcome others back in.
