• Dear Cherry Creek Options Homeschool Community,

Welcome to our Cherry Creek Options website.  I hope you find this as a resource for learning about our program for prospective families, and a resource of up-to-date information for our current families as well.   I wanted to share a little bit about myself and Cherry Creek Options.  I came to the Cherry Creek Options program in the Spring of 2023.  The program has been in existence for many years, and remains a small enrichment program for homeschooled students.  I have been fortunate to learn about the many iterations of Cherry Creek Options over the past couple of decades and the rich history of serving the homeschool community.  We do remain a resource for continued learning, and a great opportunity for our homeschool students and their families.  Cherry Creek Options provides a place for students to truly realize their potential through choosing this learning pathway, and enriching the homeschool experience here in our community.

I have been fortunate to be a school leader in the Cherry Creek School District since 2010.  I’ve worked in Middle School prior to coming to Options, and most recently served as the Principal at Prairie Middle School from 2018-2023.  I also worked at West MS and Fox Ridge MS as well as a Dean of Students and Assistant Principal from 2010-2018.  Prior to 2010, I was a teacher and administrator at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Denver. I have been fortunate to learn and grow within Cherry Creek’s framework of the Core Values, and appreciate all of my time and experiences within the district.  I also spend some time working with a non-profit called Resilient Futures, who work to integrate Trauma-Informed practices into our schools and systems that serve children.

My family is a busy one.  My wife and I have been married since March of 2020, and we have four wonderful children, all in middle school and high school.  Our home attends five different schools every day. When I’m not at Options, I’m usually doing something with my family.  My favorite ways to spend time are watching my kids do whatever fills their bucket.  I’m at the parenting stage where my most valuable quality as a parent is driving them around to practices, competitions, or whatever else comes up.    I also love to waterski, and that’s my biggest passion outside of education.  I was born and raised in Colorado, and I also spend a lot of school breaks in Louisiana, which has become a second home in recent years.  I look forward to hearing more about your stories.  Thank you for visiting our website.  Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
