Challenge School Immersion Instructions

Immersion UPDATES:

Thank you for submitting your Immersion Choices. At this time, the Immersion selection is CLOSED. Your child will find out their immersion on September 30, 2024.

Thank you Challenge Families for being patient with us as we launch this updated Immersion Website! I have received much feedback stating once you SAVE your immersions, that you are not receiving a "Confirmation". We have noted this and will be updated. But for now, please understand that when you hit SAVE, that will save your immersion and we have received your choice. If there is a discrepancy, we will call you this week. The Immersion Program at Challenge offers a wide variety of classes for students.  These classes are intended to provide students with an opportunity to participate in an in-depth study that will enrich and extend their educational experience. The Immersion Program classes tend to be more experiential in nature and provide learning opportunities both here at school and on various field trips.  During this week of study, all other classes will be temporarily suspended.  Fees for the classes cover the cost of consumable materials, field trips and transportation fees. Learning opportunities are much more structured in our primary classes, and choices become progressively varied as students advance through middle school.  An Independent Study option is available for individual students and their families. 

Kindergarten Families AND First Grade Families:

Your students will be with their teacher for the ENTIRE Immersion week. You do NOT need to fill out any immersion paperwork. Your teacher will communicate with you directly on activities and events that they will be working on that week. 

Independent Study

If your child is doing an Independent Study, please read the Independent Study Information/Instructions and enter Independent Study for all FOUR choices on the Immersion Request Form. 

Please note the following dates and deadlines:

• September 17, 2024: Immersion requests must be submitted via this website by 4:00 p.m.
• September 30, 2024: Students find out their immersion @ 8am. Immersion Teacher hosts an information meeting with students at 2:30 p.m. Parents can start paying Immersion Fees Via RevTrak @ 3pm.
• October 4, 2024: Immersion payments are due in RevTrak and paperwork due to their immersion teacher by 3pm.
• October 8, 2024 - Thursday, October 10, 2024: Fall 2024 Immersion - Have a wonderful week!
• October 11, 2024 - NO SCHOOL
• October 16-20, 2024 - Fall Break - No School
