Mr. David Strohfus

Welcome to Challenge School!  I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As get ready to launch into our new academic year, I want share a little bit about our CCSD core values and how we use them to direct our work together.

Challenge School is an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where each student can thrive and reach their full potential. Our core values serve as guiding principles in shaping not only academic success but also the overall well-being of our school community.

  1. Equity: We are working to ensure that all students have equal access to opportunities, resources, and support, regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances. We celebrate our beautifully diverse global school community and embrace the uniqueness of each student.  We strive to make Challenge a home for all of our students.
  2. Engagement: Active engagement is the key to meaningful learning. We strive to create dynamic and interactive classrooms where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore their curiosity, and actively participate in the learning process. We believe that engaged students become lifelong learners.
  3. Whole-Wellbeing: Academic success is intertwined with the well-being of our students. We place equal importance on their emotional, social, and physical development. By promoting a balanced lifestyle and a supportive environment, we help our students flourish not only academically but also in their personal lives.
  4. Growth Mindset: We work to create an environment where we strive to embrace challenges and view failures as opportunities for learning and growth. By cultivating resilience and a positive attitude towards learning, we empower our students to become confident problem solvers and adaptable individuals.
  5. Relationships: Strong relationships are the foundation of our school community. We value open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and staff. Building meaningful connections with one another strengthens our support system and enhances the overall educational experience.

We wouldn’t be the amazing school that we are without the tremendous support of our patent community. Together, let’s create an atmosphere of belonging, where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to succeed. I thank you for your continuous support and collaboration. Your involvement in your child's education plays a crucial role in their academic journey.

Challenge is incredibly fortunate to have a staff that is passionate about learning and committed to helping each of our students to thrive.  Their commitment to our students' growth and development is exemplified by their tireless work and ongoing commitment to growing as professionals.

Warmly,

David Strohfus
