Mr. Michael Chipman

Polton prides itself on providing thoughtful, well-designed instruction; strong teacher, student, parent, and community relationships; and instilling in children the ability to think, to learn, to achieve, and to care. Our entire staff is dedicated to the well-being of each of our students’ needs and strives to make every day a positive learning experience for our children. We hold high expectations for each other and ourselves while embracing a restless pursuit of continuous improvement.

I strongly believe that student, teacher, parent and community partnerships are  essential pieces to the success of a school. At Polton we are privileged to have parent volunteers working with teachers to enrich the experiences of our children on a daily basis. Our P.T.C.O./P.A.A.C. and P.A.S.S. organizations are a tremendous support and contribute significantly to the warm, inviting atmosphere at Polton.

Our primary missions are to instill in our children a love of learning and perseverance in the face of challenge. We believe the foundation of a strong education is the ability to read and will use this fundamental train of thought in making educational decisions for our children. Through the skill of reading we will open doorways to deep, meaningful understanding in all other subject areas.

Though reading is our focus, we will engage students through the integration of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). This lens will permeate the curriculum and provide real world application and learning for our children.

It is a great privilege and responsibility to serve the Polton community. We do not take these charges lightly and will dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of excellence on a daily basis.

Thank you for entrusting your children with us! Should you want further details about our school, please call (720) 747-2600.
