Activities Fee
The Activity Fee supports many programs and activities at Cherry Creek that add to a student’s overall experience. Some of these items include:
- Student Admission to all Regular Season Home Sporting Events
- Development and Maintenance of Clubs
- Guest Lecturers, Motivational Speakers and Guest Performers
- Homecoming Activities, Ethnicfest and Teen Awareness Events
- Student Awards, Leadership and Assisting the Performing Arts Program
The hallmark of our Activities program is a corps of dedicated faculty advisors. Club advisors have an understanding that leadership is an activity -- requiring commitment, hard work, and long hours beyond the school day. Students who engage themselves in activities receive both formal and informal leadership training and many serve on both CCHS and district-wide committees.
Starting a Club
New clubs may be started if a consistent group of students has an interest and an adult sponsor who is willing to supervise the activity. Students must then arrange a time to meet with the Activities Director to discuss the ideas for the new club and to arrange the paperwork needed to complete a new club constitution. To learn about starting a club, visit our page.
Social Activities
Student committees, under the supervision of adult sponsors and with approval from the Activities Director, plan social events. School dances and other major events are sponsored by classes, clubs, or other student organizations. The Student Activities Calendar, which is always posted on the Activities Office bulletin board, shows the date, place, and time of each event. The sponsoring organization is responsible for publicizing the time, place, cost, rules, and other specifics of each event.
Please note that most clubs have open enrollment throughout the year.
Thank you very much! I look forward to a very active year of leadership.
