    HB20-1015 Future Educators Pathway Grant Program

    Modeled after Cherry Creek’s Future Educators Program, this bill would create a statewide program to provide grants to school districts to create future educator pathway programs. The goal is to prepare the next generation of great teachers by providing high school students with opportunities for concurrent enrollment and apprenticeships that lead to college credit toward degrees and credentials as educators.

    HB20-1007 Diverse Kindergarten through 12th Grade Educator Workforce Report

    This bill would result in the creation of a workgroup to understand the barriers and develop strategies to increase diversity in the educator workforce. This bill aligns to work already happening in Cherry Creek Schools that aims to increase diversity in our educator workforce to better reflect the diversity of our students.

    HB20-1005 Enhance Safe2Tell

    This bill would make enhancements to the Safe2Tell program, which allows students, staff, parents and community members to anonymously share concerns regarding safety. The goal is to ensure our community is aware and can effectively use the system. Cherry Creek Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our schools by partnering with law enforcement and creating strong, positive cultures in our schools. The physical and psychological safety of our students is critically important to us and is an area of focus in the Cherry Creek Future Forward strategic plan.

    HB20-1001 Nicotine Product Regulation

    This bill would regulate the sale of nicotine to reduce underage consumption and is aligned to Cherry Creek Schools’ commitment to ensuring our students are healthy and ready to learn. The proposed bill also aligns to the district’s efforts to prevent vaping and nicotine use among students through education and advocacy.
