Are you struggling to attract entry-level talent? Is your organization finding it difficult to secure employees with the technical skills you need? Join the movement in Colorado by building a youth apprenticeship tailored to your organization’s specific needs.
In the Cherry Creek School District, we recognize that today’s education system must better align with the evolving needs and skills of industry. Across Colorado, businesses are struggling to find employees with the right competencies and skills to fill their open positions. To bridge this gap, the district is partnering with industry leaders to create and expand registered Youth Apprenticeships. These programs are designed to provide students with meaningful career pathways after high school while helping our industry partners meet their workforce needs.
Youth Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with a company and related coursework, or certifications provided by the Cherry Creek School District. All apprenticeships begin in high school (during the junior or senior year) and typically continue for 1 to 2 years beyond graduation. Establishing a Youth Apprenticeship is an innovative way to build your future talent pipeline.
Upon completing an apprenticeship, students will have gained the skills and professional competencies needed to step directly into high-growth, high-wage careers.
