Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR)

Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR) empowers young people of all races to become catalysts for change through meaningful, ongoing conversations in our schools. As students are given a voice and opportunities for equity/anti-racism leadership, they become a more visible voice for change in their schools and build capacity to lead equity work with the support of school staff.

Students are selected by principals, focusing on sophomores or juniors who aspire to be anti-racist leaders involved in equity and racial consciousness conversations. Students should plan to participate in the program for two years and attend a virtual Courageous Conversations about Race training and three S.O.A.R seminar sessions.
