School Psychology Internships & Practicum II

Program Overview

Our internship provides a rich, real-world experience aligned with NASP Domains of Practice. Interns gain essential skills for independent practice while serving diverse student populations across CCSD.

What You’ll Experience

🧑‍🏫 Supervision & Support

  • Two on-site NASP-compliant supervisors (ECE/elementary & secondary)
  • PsyD/PhD interns receive DORA-licensed supervision 
  • Monthly 90-minute group supervision with fellow School Psychology Interns, School Social Work Interns, and district leaders across both fields
  • Gradual release model to build independence

🏫 Placement

  • Assigned to two schools (2–3 days/week at each)
  • Locations across Southern Denver, Aurora, and Centennial
  • Final placements shared in March

📚 Professional Development

  • Intern Seminar: Monthly reflective supervision sessions which focus on case consultation, cultural humility, and professional growth
  • Department Meetings: Monthly, covering an array of topics (i.e., assessment, SEL, trauma-informed care, etc.), includes a peer consultation group
