School Boundary Changes
School attendance areas are dynamic and may be changed as necessary to address overcrowding, plan for future growth, and protect educational excellence. While we cannot offer any guarantees that a neighborhood will remain within a particular school’s boundary, during boundary change processes we evaluate relocating bussed areas and strive to assign areas that are within the walk distance to a school. We encourage all community members with questions about current or future boundaries to contact the Planning and Enrollment Department.
For New Schools
Boundary changes are needed when a new school is built, to direct existing and future neighborhood students to balance projected enrollments.
For Established Schools
Boundary changes to existing schools are needed when school capacities and projected enrollment numbers are no longer balanced.
