CCIC 2020-21 School Year Start Up

    Principal's Message

Can my student attend CCIC if he/she is a student at Cherry Creek Elevation?

Yes!  Just like last year, eligible students must be enrolled in one of our eight high schools in order to attend the CCIC.  Whether a student chooses the online option or to attend their neighborhood high school, the CCIC will continue to offer courses on-site for students unless the district goes into a full remote learning format.

What will the schedule look like for 1st semester?

The Cherry Creek School District will use four metrics (with data specific to Arapahoe County) to determine if it is safe to open schools and under what conditions we must shift from In-Person learning to Remote learning.

The In-Person learning option for high school students will be a Blended In-Person Learning option. Students will receive direct instruction, individualized feedback, and a chance to connect as a community two days a week in person. Remote instruction will be provided on the other days. Mondays will be used for students to continue remote work, provide opportunities for check in with teachers online, gain clarity regarding assignments, and also provide additional planning time for teachers. This change allows for greater physical distancing and is based on the newest guidance from state health and education experts.

Students who attend the CCIC will come onto campus one day a week for in-person learning during a morning (Periods 1-2) or afternoon (Periods 3-4) session. CCIC students will also participate in at-home learning one day a week.

Will transportation be provided to the CCIC this year?

Yes!  Shuttle buses will continue to run from district high schools to the CCIC.

Does the CCIC serve breakfast and lunch?

The CCIC does not have a cafeteria run by CCSD Food and Nutrition Services.  Students should eat breakfast and lunch off campus or at their neighborhood high schools.

What safety precautions will the CCIC utilize?

The CCIC will follow all mandates set forth by the Tri-County Health Department and the Cherry Creek School District.  The best information for all questions related to health and safety can be found here on the CCSD Planning Forward 2020-2021 website. This link provides the most up-to-date information on the district’s efforts to ensure a safe opening for the 2020-21 school year.

Where can I get more information?

Feel free to call the CCIC at 720.554.2600 between 8AM-4PM for more information.  The Planning Forward website also has up-to-date information.

COVID Symptom Tracker

  • The Cherry Creek School District has developed the “COVID Symptom Checker,” an easy-to-use, online tool that will help us mitigate the spread of COVID-19. It is a quick and convenient way for staff, parents and students to identify potential COVID symptoms. The tool also provides direction on what to do - or not do - if a student or staff member is experiencing any of those symptoms.

All students and staff members are expected to do their part to protect the health and well-being of our school communities by using the COVID Symptom Checker before they come to school each day.

There are three easy ways to access the Symptom Checker:

    (1) Log in to mycherrycreek and click on the COVID Symptom Checker tile.
