Student Registration

  • REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1 -- register as soon as possible! We are open all summer! *If your student is at Elevation or the K-5 online program, you do not need to re-register to the previously assigned school or feeder middle and high school.  Returning students also do NOT need to re-enroll annually.  NON-RESIDENTS need to complete a Non-Resident application annually.

    • CCSD has centralized enrollment.  NEW students must register via E-mail or via an in-person appointment with Admissions.
    • You must reside in the district in order to register, unless you were accepted as a Non-Resident.  School Locator
    • Once the school year has started, you may register up to 10 days before the student will attend school.
    • It is not necessary for the student to be present when registering at District Admissions.
    • Refer to your school's website for specific information regarding Orientation, Course Selection, Back to School Night, Transportation, etc.
    • Secondary students will need to meet with a school counselor to determine the appropriate class schedule before attending classes.

  • Documents REQUIRED to Register/Re-enroll, missing documents will delay your registration:

  • 1. Verification of Parent Residency

    Residency at the address is required. Below are GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.  Due to specific circumstances, residency documentation may be unique to your situation.

    • If you OWN your home, provide ONE of the following:

      • Current Gas or Electric Bill within 30 days (No Disconnect or Final Notices) - include Page 1 AND Page 2 of the bill
      • Warranty Deed - must be signed within the last 60 days
      • Three pieces of current USPS business mail received within 30 days - with at least 1 item being a bill for the address (trash, water, gas, solar, cable)
      • Future BUILD - a letter from the Builder with Completion Date within the current semester
      • Future Purchase Contract - Complete, signed contract with Possession Date and Closing Date within the current semester.
    • If you RENT, provide ONE of the following:

      • Current Gas or Electric Bill within 30 days (No Disconnect or Final Notices) - include Page 1 AND Page 2 of the bill
      • A fully executed Lease Agreement for a new property leased within the last 60 days (No addendums or sub-lease)
      • Three pieces of current USPS business mail received within 30 days- 1 item being a bill for the address (trash, water, gas, solar, cable)
      • Future Lease -  Fully executed Lease Agreement and a receipt of the first month's rent payment.  (During the school year, you must be moving in within two weeks of registration)
    • If you LIVE WITH ANOTHER FAMILY, bring ALL of the following FOUR items:

      1. CO-RESIDENT FORM - Completed and Notarized
      2. NOTE: Co-Residency renewals will need three (3) pieces of current business mail received within the last 30 days. No duplicate pieces, no CCSD mail, no personal mail can be accepted.
      3. Verification of residency for the family with whom you are living with, such as their current gas/electric bill.
      4. Current proof of your residency at that address. (ie: bank statement, insurance statement, new Colorado drivers license receipt, mail received, etc., with your name, the address and the date clearly listed)

        Families with Transitional Housing Situations or Experiencing Homelessness

        Do any of the following apply to the current housing situation for the student?

        • In an emergency or transitional shelter,
        • In a motel, hotel or campsite due to lack of alternative, adequate accommodations,
        • In a car, park, temporary RV, abandoned building, substandard housing, public or private space not designated for human beings or similar setting,
        • Living with another family due to loss of housing or economic hardship; "doubled-up."

        Your school-age children may qualify for certain rights and protections under federal laws.

    This is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS regardless of age or grade. Do not submit a Registration without it.

  • 5. Census of English Language Learners

    CENSUS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS FORM (one per student registration, per state requirement, no exceptions)

  • 6. Previous School Release of Records

    PREVIOUS SCHOOL RELEASE OF RECORDS (one per student registration, excluding NEW Kindergarten students)

  • 7. Picture I.D. of parent

  • Families with Transitional Housing

    Active Military Families - New to Colorado

    In addition to the residency documentation already listed for enrollment into Cherry Creek Schools, active military families who have been assigned to, and reside on, Buckley AFB from out of state/country can enroll in school within the Cherry Creek School District with the following documentation:

    • Military Orders with a report date within the last 60 days.
    • A signed Lease/Rental agreement with a move-in date within the next 60 days or a Purchase Contract with a closing date listed to a property within CCSD.
