    Mission

    The mission of the Eaglecrest High School Counseling Department is to prepare each and every student to be college/career ready. Our focus is to support every student's potential in three domains: academic, college/career, and personal/social development.  We are committed to promoting and enhancing the academic achievement and personal growth of each and every student, continually reinforcing high expectations and successful post secondary transition.

    I have been a counselor for 7 years and this is my 3rd year at Eaglecrest. I love to travel, cook, try new food, read, and snorkel. I was born in Hawaii and love to visit when I can. I am also a big Swiftie!

    About Me:
    Prior to working as a school counselor, I worked in youth residential treatment centers and programs serving adults with disabilities. I also worked as a Tobacco Cessation coach. Fun fact: I have a brief cameo in a couple commercials and promotions for the Quitline. I interned at EHS while pursuing my MA in School Counseling, and I have been here ever since! I have attended the REB3L groove workout class weekly for the last year which is super fun. I also enjoy watching movies, baking, spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, jogging, and biking. I have a husband who also works in education, and 2 boys - ages 10 and 12.

    Roles/responsibilities: I am the Wellness Coordinator for counseling, RECCS scholarship point person, Member of Equity Team, World Language liaison, Part-time Elevation liaison, Outreach/advocacy - newsletter committee

    About Me:
    I was born and raised in Aurora, CO, and has returned to Eaglecrest High School after graduating from EHS in the early 2000s. I spend my free time with my kids and dog, Moira—yes, she is named after the character from Schitt's Creek. I was fortunate to participate in Semester at Sea, where I visited the Panama Canal, rafted in Ecuador, and paraglided in Peru. Fun fact: My love for travel also led me to Iceland where I attended and even earned a Diploma from Elf School.  

    Roles: I am the Concurrent Enrollment, ASCENT, and TREP liaison.

    About me: 
    I have worked in the Mental Health field for 17 years, and EHS for 6 years. I highly value this work that allows me to help to keep people safe, problem solve through life’s challenges and assist in others becoming a better version of themselves. I love to read, hike, watch Disney movies, and play board games with my two young daughters and husband. I have elderly, deaf dog who is the best boy you’ll ever meet. I love performing and watching drum corps, marching bands, and color guard. And, I would love to join a roller derby team, but I’m terrified of breaking a bone.

    Roles: 
    I am a member of the Crisis and Safety team, the district Suicide Prevention Task Force, the Advisory Lesson Planning Cadre, oversee registration for incoming 9th graders, and am a club sponsor for LINK Crew. I also step outside the traditional counselor role to act as our building’s 504 Coordinator.

    About Me:
    I have been at EHS for 3 years, but a school counselor for 7 years overall. I grew up in Long Island, New York, lived in Northern Virginia for 2 years, and moved to Colorado in 2020. A few of my hobbies I enjoy are: working out, snowboarding, hiking, reading and playing with my dog. I love watching sports (Hockey and Baseball!) and cooking. Fun Fact: My socks never match.

    About Me:
    I worked for 20 years as an Anthropologist/Archaeologist. I also worked as a college rep for Fort Lewis and adjunct instructor for Front Range and CCA. Later on, I decided to change career paths to be a school counselor, and I have been at EHS ever since - 6 years to be exact.  Fun facts: She is Puerto Rican and grew up on a large ranch/farm in Colorado.  She was a paraprofessional Flamenco and Ballet Folklorico dancer, and was a Colorado state champ 4 years in a row!

    Roles: As the College & Career Coordinator, Heidi organizes post graduate evening events, facilitates relationships between colleges and EHS, supports with financial aid, scholarships, and college applications, as well as career exploration. She is also on the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Chair for Colorado School Counseling Association (CSCA).

    About Me:
    I grew up outside Washington DC, went to high school in Iowa, college in Minnesota, and then moved to Colorado. I worked in the Eaglecrest Math Resource Room in 2012 where I realized how much I enjoyed working with kids. I then started working as the College and Career Specialist before deciding I wanted to return to school to become a school counselor. Since graduating, I have been a counselor at EHS and took on the department coordinator role in 2020.  Some of my favorite activities include: cooking, gardening, reading, and going on walks with my dog. Fun Fact: For my first career, I owned my own business with a coffee shop and dessert bar where I also taught cooking classes.

    About Me:
    Hi there! I am Ms. Hodges Counselor of Neurodiverse students (formerly known as Gifted & Talented). This is my 3rd year as a School Counselor at Eaglecrest, and I previously worked half a school year for Littleton Public School District. I am a city girl through and through. I love shopping and all things fashion with clothing, accessories and sneakers. I am a HUGE audiobook listener. This year I have listened to 15 audiobooks! Fun fact about me, I graduated from Overland High School so working at EHS has been amazing to return back to CCSD.

    Roles: 
    I oversee identifications and support for all of our Gifted Students. I am the Speech & Debate Assistant Coach, JV Girls Basketball Coach, and Visual Arts department Counseling Liaison. I also assist with planning registration, social events, and many other counselor duties we conduct as a team.
