Activities & Clubs
There are a variety of activities during the school year. We will continue to update when other things are available.
Information will be sent home soon.
Fridays at 7:45 am through the gym door. Students must have a pencil with them.
Students have the opportunity to take part in Math Mania. Each participant will be given a five-minute test that they can take each week to check their proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Score 95% or more, and they have their name entered into a raffle for a variety of prizes. Raffle is once every 6 weeks.
Kindergarteners will be working on addition and subtraction. First and second graders will be working on addition, subtraction, and basic multiplication. Third through fifth graders will be working on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Raise Reading Achievement by the Power of 2!
This is a wonderful cross-age tutoring program that our students benefit from greatly. Our fourth-grade tutors are paired up with second graders and our fifth graders are paired up with third graders. Under the supervision of a trained coordinator, cross-age tutors follow scripted lesson plans, modeling strategies for thinking about text. Tutors then guide their tutees in using these best practices independently. On average, tutees and their tutors gain at least one grade level in fluency and comprehension by the end of thirty lessons.
