Philosophy and Goals:  

The art program at Greenwood Elementary is a comprehensive program for kindergarten through fifth grade. Students explore a variety of art media and are exposed to art throughout history and across cultures.

Students are encouraged to express themselves through a variety of media, including both two-dimensional and three-dimensional.

Area:  Art History

Students are exposed to various artists and artistic movements throughout history.

Area:  Cultures

Students are exposed to the arts of various cultures, both past and present, throughout the world.

Area:  Communication

Students learn the vocabulary of art and are encouraged to discuss and respond to works of art.
