Robocon competition draws students from across CCSD in test of STEAM skills
More than 150 students from nearly 20 schools across CCSD participated in this year's Robocon, a robotics competition that featured dozens of teams testing their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) skills as they pitted robot against robot.

A recent community service project at Altitude Elementary offered students lessons about empathy, as kids got together to make dog toys for a local shelter. "If students are mindful about what they’re creating for the community, they’re likely to put more care into it," said STEAM coordinator Ryan Remien.

CCHS writer earns professional praise for dramatic debut
Cherry Creek High School senior Riccardo D'Urso won a top spot in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ 2022 High School and Middle School Playwriting Competition. “They Stole the Moon” was one of three winners of the annual contest, which seeks original, one-act plays from students across the state.
