    9News: Blind student wants to help peers overcome obstacles to careers in STEM

    Ty Gillespie is the first youth apprentice in the nation to complete the Salesforce Certified Administrator Program through the Blind Institute of Technology! Ty is a Grandview student who is currently working on his Computer Science capstone where he is developing a scientific calculator that can be easily used by the visually impaired. He is creating braille buttons, sounds, and vibration feedback for this scientific calculator.

    Students at West Middle School recently participated in a schoolwide design challenge designed to help students think creatively while creating new friendships throughout the school.  Students worked in groups made up of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in order to build new connections.

    CBS4: Cherry Creek HS senior takes problem solving to the next level

    CBS Colorado, along with its partners at Chevron and the Colorado School of Mines, spotlights a high school student excelling in STEM. The first winner of the 2023-24 year is Neil Bhavikatti. He's a senior at Cherry Creek High School. Math is his favorite subject, and he explores it in many ways.
