Boys Tennis - Cherry Creek Tennis wins Centennial League – On to Regionals
The Cherry Creek Boys Varsity Tennis Team won the Centennial League title and finished the regular season with a perfect record. The Bruins will begin the march toward the State Tournament by hosting the Region 2 tourney on Sept. 16 and 17. You can see where all the CCSD teams will be playing here.
Softball – Smoky Hill leads the way as girls wind down regular season
The Smoky Hill Softball Team remained undefeated at 8 and 0 last week and will try to stay perfect in the last two weeks of the regular season. The Buffaloes are leading the Centennial League, followed by Cherokee Trail. The Centennial League Tourney begins on Sept. 29.
Cross Country – Cherry Creek runner sets state record
Congratulations to Cherry Creek Senior Parker Wolfe who set a Colorado cross country record on Saturday at the Heritage Distance Classic in Littleton. Wolfe posted a time of 14:30.1 in the 5K event.
Golf – Teams gearing up for upcoming regional tournaments
Cherry Creek leads district teams as they prepare for the qualifying phase of Boys Golf on Sept. 24. The 5A State Golf Tournament will be held on Oct. 5-6 at Rolling Hills in Golden.
