Sixty-nine seniors from high schools in the Cherry Creek School District have received College Board National Recognition Programs Awards. The awards are presented for academic excellence to underrepresented students in four categories: the National African American Recognition Program, the National Hispanic Recognition Program, the National Indigenous Recognition Program, and the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.

To be considered for the recognition program awards, students must identify as Black, African American, Latino, Hispanic, Indigenous, Native, or attend high school in a rural area or small town. They must also take eligible administrations of the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams. The awards do not include scholarship funds, but students can include this academic honor in their college and scholarship applications.
