Women in Industry Trailblazers

Eleven female 9th and 10th graders attended the Women In Industry (WIIN) Forum. This forum is to highlight non- traditional careers for women. Some of the exhibits students were able to participate in included auto tech, infrastructure, engineering, STEM, and fire industry.

 

The OHS students put on and took off lug-nuts, tried on a fireman’s uniform, built metal phone holders, and played with a 3D pumping heart in which they were able to see the tricuspid and bicuspid valves contracting. 

 

These girls are the future trailblazers of these industries! We are excited to watch them grow as they continue to explore these career pathways!
