CCIC Counselor Awarded ACTE Outstanding Counseling and Career Development Professional

CCIC Counselor, Ryan Seely, was recently awarded Outstanding Counseling and Career Development Professional from The Counseling and Career Development Division of The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). This award recognizes outstanding and significant contributions, advocacy in CTE, counseling and career development and/or service to the ACTE organization.

Here is a brief narrative written in the nomination:

Ryan goes above and beyond to create connections for students to go into their desired career pathways after high school. Since our campus opened, Ryan has been reaching out to local businesses to seek partnerships. Through these connections, he's created new apprenticeship, internship, and direct hire opportunities for our students.

Last year, he took on a leadership role in setting up and implementing a state-wide virtual career fair event, including a hybrid virtual and in-person professional panel event in our building.

This year he started a podcast that features successful people in a wide variety of industries talking about their own career journeys, what they do know, and the outlook of their particular industry.

He constantly seeks out new and unique ways to bring career information to our students. He is an excellent CTE counselor, and worthy of consideration for this award.

Congratulations Mr. Seely!
