What is the Extended Essay (EE)?

The EE is a 4,000 word, in-depth study of a subject chosen by the IB student in the junior year of IB.  IB students will NOT receive an IB diploma unless they complete the EE. The EE grade also appears on Power School and is, therefore, available for parents to assess the progress of students.  Completion of the EE is an IB requirement for the Diploma program, and CTHS has created a week-long summer camp​ for students as a guideline to accomplish successfully this piece of the IB hexagon.
